Vice President of Engineering, XProtect

As Vice President of Engineering for XProtect, you will lead a global organization responsible for delivering high-quality, intuitive software experiences across desktop, mobile, and web. XProtect is Milestone’s flagship video management platform, used in mission-critical environments around the world, from city surveillance and critical infrastructure to commercial campuses and public spaces.
 

Your Mission: Transform How We Build and What We Deliver

As Vice President of Engineering, you will shape both what we deliver, exceptional, user-centered experiences, and how we deliver it, by leading the transformation of the XProtect engineering organization. You’ll evolve how nearly 200 engineering colleagues across Denmark, Bulgaria, and Spain work together, embedding modern engineering practices, accelerating iteration, and creating a more agile, customer-focused, and collaborative culture. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution, shaping not just how we build, but how we lead and scale engineering impact across the company.

    an integrated platform.

· Proven success leading product-focused engineering teams at scale.

· Experience leading large-scale engineering orgs through change and transformation.

· Strategic decision-making skills with deep empathy and a bias for clarity.

· A track record of nurturing high-trust, diverse, empowered teams aligned around impact.

· Experience blending strategy, user needs, and design into delivery execution.

· A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

 

Your Three-country Organization Delivering All XProtect Experiences

You’ll report to the CTO and lead our XProtect engineering teams across Denmark (Brøndby), Bulgaria (Sofia), and Spain (Barcelona). These teams build the client-facing applications and platform capabilities behind XProtect, on desktop, mobile, and web.

You’ll be responsible for how we deliver for:

· Technology partners who integrate with our open platform.

· Ecosystem partners designing tailored end-to-end solutions.

· Administrators who set up, manage, and optimize systems.

· Operators who rely on XProtect daily, from responding to real-time incidents to working in security control centers or in the field.
