Videogame QA Manager | São Paulo, Brazil

PTW is looking for a talented and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our team of videogame testers and oversee the quality assurance process for our game projects. As the QA Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our clients' videogame titles across various platforms.

This is an 100% on-site position (non-remote), and only local candidates in the State of São Paulo, or willing to relocate within Brazil will be considered. No visa sponsorship will be provided.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the quality assurance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure high-quality testing results.
2. Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies, processes, and procedures to meet project requirements and objectives.
3. Collaborate closely with project managers, leads, and stakeholders to establish testing goals, priorities, and timelines for each project.
4. Oversee the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios to ensure thorough coverage of all game features and functionalities.
5. Coordinate with development teams to identify and prioritize issues, track defects, and ensure timely resolution throughout the testing lifecycle.
6. Maintain clear and detailed documentation of testing processes, procedures, and results, including test plans, test matrices, and bug reports.
7. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide regular updates on testing progress, identify risks and issues, and propose solutions and recommendations.
8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in videogame quality assurance, and share knowledge and insights with the team to drive continuous improvement.
9. Assist in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of new videogame testers as the workforce scales from 50 to 100 employees.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field;
2. 6+ years of experience in videogame QA, with a strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and processes.
3. Proven experience managing and leading a team of videogame testers, with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
4. Proficiency in industry-standard testing tools and software, such as bug tracking systems, test management tools, and version control systems.
5. Willingness to work in an in-studio environment in São Paulo, SP. Remote work will not be considered.
6. Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming mechanics, genres, and platforms.
