Scopely is looking for a General Manager, Direct to Consumer to join our publishing org in Culver City on a remote/hybrid basis.

The General Manager, Direct to Consumer will be responsible for leading Scopely’s direct to consumer strategy, operations, and business outcomes across our portfolio of franchises. You will report to the SVP Publishing and will work with Product/Engineering, Marketing, and Game Team leaders to help define each franchise’s direct to consumer needs and overall business strategy.  You will own the overall direct to consumer vision for the company and will work with cross functional teams to execute against that vision. 

 

A successful candidate will look at problems in new ways. Be disciplined in using a balance of both creative and analytical skills, and possess the boldness to try new things. You will deliver ideas from concept to implementation across our portfolio of games. You will have a high analytical drive with the ability to assess and deliver on KPIs in a cross functional and collaborative way. 

 

You should have a passion for ecommerce, payments, and technology and know what challenges today’s digital world. A comprehensive understanding of the digital landscape is a must, as well as an unwavering obsession for tracking new trends and evolving design and delivery concepts.  Working alongside product managers, data analysts, and engineers, you will champion and enable data driven decisions as we iterate on our Direct to Consumer solutions and business.

 

What You Will Do

     Perform comprehensive product analyses to determine what matters in order to improve the Direct to Consumer experience

     Collaborate with our data and performance product management team to drive insights and holistically improve visibility to key direct to consumer performance indicators

     Dive deep into the player profiles to understand user behavior, psychology and trends needed to optimize product decisions

     Work with our game team product managers to integrate Direct to Consumer products in a manner that offers a creative, refreshing and rewarding experience for our players

     Identify, evangelize and implement best practices across our product portfolio

     Help improve our processes and tools to increase operational efficiency in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment where creative solutions are the norm

     Be the main business leader within Scopely to rally and direct cross functional teams toward areas with the highest impact

     Be the business champion in clearly managing expectations to the Scopely executive team and create excitement and support for direct to consumer projects.

 

What We’re Looking For

     Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. MBA preferred.

     The successful candidate will have a strong mix of business, strategy, and payments/ecommerce product experience or acumen in the digital space. 

     Extensive experience in driving and executing growth initiatives within technology driven companies. 

     3+ years experience managing significant size P&L’s with success

     Experience selling to C-Suite on business case, product vision, and keep them up to speed on state of the business

     Ability to lead a cross functional team that may not report directly to you

     Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, the ability to project manage and work effectively under deadlines and in complex business environments

     Strong problem solver who has an entrepreneurial mindset with a sense of urgency and is not afraid to roll your sleeves up
 

 

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $235,000 - $265,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
