Job Description

The Digital Project Manager plans, documents, executes, and completes large-scale global Digital CMS / Web projects within strict deadlines and budget. This involves coordinating in-house and offshore teams, third-party contractors, and consultants. The role requires self-sufficiency, a solid understanding of the Project Lifecycle and best practices, with a focus on reporting to client-facing teams and mitigating risks. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with Creative, Technical, Account Management, and Senior Leaders, possessing exceptional written and verbal skills and experience in large-scale digital project deliveries.
Must have:
  • Be an internal source of expertise in the Digital project management field
  • Experience running projects in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Emphasis on best practice project management techniques
  • Manage a team of developers and QA executives locally to deliver against a project plan and budget
  • Report project progress and anticipate risks
  • Establish project governance contact points with client-service offices
  • Regularly update Project Managers in client-service offices on project progress
  • Manage and optimise internal workflow to ensure/increase productivity
  • Project execution including scope change, briefing, burn rate and progress tracking
  • Project kick-off and closure documentation
  • Experience in reading and understanding technical and functional specifications
  • Support and mentor team members, where needed
  • Attend internal meetings as a representative of the Digital production team
  • Represent Hogarth to the client and other third party partners
  • Control project scope, ensuring all scoped and budgeted work can be delivered.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects, including task definition and sequencing.
  • Plan, estimate, and control costs to complete projects within budget.
  • Ensure project delivery meets quality needs as defined by best practice and client expectations.
  • Task manage globally distributed project teams, aligning on objectives and assigning roles.
  • Link people, ideas, and information throughout a project’s life cycle.
  • Identify, analyze, and properly respond to project risks.
  • Utilize Scrum methods for project management.
  • Manage client needs through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Juggle varied workload and prioritize time effectively.

  • Copy Writing - Copy Writing/ Editing, particularly of technical documentation
  • Test Management & Execution - Understanding of QA practices
  • Experience of delivering app builds
  • Experience of using Google Analytics dashboards

  • Experience of working in (preferably large) Digital agencies on large global accounts

Job Overview:

The Digital Project Manager is to plan, document, execute, and complete large-scale global Digital CMS / Web projects adhering to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes inhouse and offshore briefing and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

In addition to this the Project Manager will need to be self-sufficient and must possess a solid understanding of both the Project Lifecycle and Project Management best practices. There is also a focused emphasis on project reporting to the client-facing Project Teams, including proactively anticipating and mitigating risks.

The successful candidate will need to work closely with all Digital departments within the practice. This means that they will need to be able to communicate intelligently and effectively with Creative, Technical, Account Management and Senior Leaders. As such, must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as experience in large-scale digital project deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an internal source of expertise in the Digital project management field and respond swiftly and concisely to any questions or queries
  • Experience running projects in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Emphasis on best practice project management techniques
  • Manage a team of developers and QA executives locally to deliver against a project plan and budget
  • Report project progress and anticipate risks
  • Establish project governance contact points with the client-service offices, such as London or NY
  • Regularly update Project Managers in client-service offices on project progress
  • Manage and optimise internal workflow to ensure/increase productivity
  • Project execution including scope change, briefing, burn rate and progress tracking
  • Project kick-off and closure documentation
  • Experience in reading and understanding technical and functional specifications
  • Support and mentor team members, where needed

Requirements:

  • Having over 5 years of project management experience in delivering web/mobile application, and CMS-based website projects
  • Experience of working in a decoupled environment and collaborating effectively with other third-party agencies
  • Strong knowledge of Content Management and CRM systems (experience with Drupal would be ideal)
  • Software expertise - JIRA, Confluence, Office 365, Smartsheets, MS Project
  • Experience of delivering large master and localization web site projects
  • Experience in using a content management system for content management / content loading
  • Passion for and understanding of internet technologies is as must
  • Management of globally distributed project delivery teams
  • Understanding of basic Quality Assurance standards and methodologies
  • Understanding of accessibility guidelines and standards

Must have:

  • Scope Management: The ability to control the work included in a project, ensuring that all the work that has been scoped and budgeted can be delivered
  • Time Management: The ability to ensure timely completion of projects, including activity (task) definition and sequencing processes
  • Cost Management: The ability to plan, estimate and control costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget. This includes resource planning, cost budgeting and project reconciliation
  • Quality Management: The ability to ensure that project delivery meets the quality needs for which the project as defined by both best practice and client expectations
  • Resource Management: The ability to task manage globally distributed project teams; this includes aligning on project objectives and goals, defining roles in the project and assigning project team members to those roles
  • Communications Management: The ability to link people (including team members and stakeholders), ideas, and information throughout a project’s life cycle
  • Risk Management: The ability to identify, Analyse, and properly respond to project risks
  • SCRUM: The ability to use the methods of Scrum in management of projects
  • Client Servicing: The ability to manage client needs through the entire project lifecycle Organization: The ability to juggle a varied workload and to prioritize time effectively

Good to have:
