As a Paranoids Operations Analyst, you'll be responsible for detecting, neutralizing, and preventing abuse on Yahoo's platforms. You will use your analytical skills to investigate and analyze patterns of internet-based fraud, including spam, phishing, malware, and account takeover. You will work with various internal investigative and product teams to provide investigative support, including data mining and analytics. Your insights will help improve the overall Yahoo user security experience.

You will play a key role in defending millions of Yahoo users and ensuring we are doing everything in our power to keep them safe. Your experience in the investigation and analysis of patterns of internet-based fraud and account takeover ensures that we identify and disrupt the most significant threats to our users.You are an ideal candidate for our team if you value:<ul><li>Protecting users and making the Internet a safer place for everyone.</li><li>Demonstrating a high level of curiosity and taking a proactive and innovative approach to preventing online abuse.</li><li>Standing up for our users and always doing what’s right.</li></ul>In a typical day, you may find yourself:<ul><li>Identifying and neutralizing – at scale – malicious activity targeting Yahoo users or using Yahoo products.</li><li>Analyzing and actioning intel from strategic internal partners and external parties.</li><li>Evolving threat detections to prevent attacks against Yahoo users and products.</li><li>Providing investigative support, including data mining and analytics, to various internal investigative and product teams.</li><li>Feeding insights to engineering and product teams to help improve the overall Yahoo user security experience.</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications:<ul><li>A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.</li><li>Experience analyzing the Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) of web-based fraud, including spam, email scams, phishing, malware and account takeover (ATO).</li><li>Experience with big data technologies such as Splunk, MySQL or Hadoop.</li><li>Excellent creative thinking, problem-solving, planning, time-management and organization skills to balance and prioritize work.</li><li>Strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Comfortable performing in a remote-first environment</li></ul>Yahoo is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
