Job Description

As an Advisor, Financial Systems, you will serve as a strategic partner within the Finance organization, leading the implementation, optimization, and governance of key financial platforms, most notably our Sales Compensation system, Xactly Incent. You will contribute extensive technical and operational knowledge, guiding less experienced team members and encouraging ongoing improvements throughout financial planning and sales compensation operations. You will play a key leadership role in crafting scalable, efficient processes, ensuring data integrity across systems, and enabling actionable insights for team members in Finance, Sales Operations, and IT. You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of financial system initiatives related to sales compensation and planning, serve as lead administrator and SME for Xactly Incent, collaborate cross-functionally, oversee new compensation plan deployment, develop reporting frameworks, provide technical leadership, and drive system adoption.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in sales operations or financial systems administration, build, or implementation.
  • Deep hands-on experience with sales compensation tools—preferably Xactly Incent or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong data analysis and modeling skills using Excel.
  • Solid understanding of relational and multidimensional data models.
  • Proven ability to manage sophisticated projects and balance strategic vision with day-to-day execution.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
Good to have:
  • Prior experience in mentoring or managing junior team members or cross-functional contributors.
  • Strong familiarity with sales compensation governance and audit/compliance frameworks.
  • Background in financial reporting, incentive design, or broader financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
  • Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, or Tableau.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As an individual, you will serve as a strategic partner within the Finance organization, leading the implementation, optimization, and governance of key financial platforms, most notably our Sales Compensation system, Xactly Incent. You will contribute extensive technical and operational knowledge, guiding less experienced team members and encouraging ongoing improvements throughout financial planning and sales compensation operations.

You will play a key leadership role in crafting scalable, efficient processes, ensuring data integrity across systems, and enabling actionable insights for team members in Finance, Sales Operations, and IT.

What You’ll Achieve

  • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of financial system initiatives related to sales compensation and planning—supporting both daily operations and long-term roadmap.
  • Serve as lead administrator and SME for Xactly Incent, managing configuration, system improvements, and overall governance of plan implementation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Sales Compensation, and IT teams to ensure alignment of business requirements, integrations, and data workflows.
  • Oversee the build and deployment of new compensation plans, including documentation, configuration, validation, and UAT processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust reporting frameworks and dashboards, enabling Finance and Sales teams to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Provide technical and functional leadership to junior members of the Financial Systems team, encouraging skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead efforts to drive adoption and optimize system utilization, including user training, system documentation, and change management support.
  • Stay informed of industry’s best practices and new technologies to continuously improve system performance and user experience.

Who You Are

  • Deep hands-on experience with sales compensation tools—preferably Xactly Incent or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong data analysis and modeling skills using Excel; comfort validating system configuration with operational data.
  • Solid understanding of relational and multidimensional data models and their use in financial systems.
  • Proven ability to manage sophisticated projects and balance strategic vision with day-to-day execution.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; ability to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
