Job Description

Electronic Arts is seeking an AI Engineer to join their Data & Insights team in Hyderabad. This role involves researching, fine-tuning, and integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and designing GenAI-powered applications. The engineer will develop and deploy RAG pipelines, collaborate with various teams, and ensure responsible AI practices. The position requires a strong understanding of NLP, deep learning, and transformer architectures, along with Python coding skills and experience with GenAI frameworks.
Must have:
  • Research, fine-tune, and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Design and build GenAI-powered applications.
  • Develop and deploy RAG pipelines using vector databases.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and UX teams.
  • Ensure responsible AI practices.
  • Evaluate and optimize model performance, cost, and latency.
  • Keep up to date with the rapidly evolving GenAI ecosystem.
  • Conduct AI experimentation for task automation.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, AI, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of NLP, deep learning, and transformer-based architecture.
  • Experience with GenAI frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, or Hugging Face.
  • Strong Python coding skills.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and orchestration tools.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering, fine-tuning (LoRA, PEFT), and safety alignment techniques.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with LLMOps tools (e.g., Weights & Biases, PromptLayer, BentoML).

The AI Engineer will report to Sr Manager responsible for Data & Insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, fine-tune, and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Llama, Claude, etc.
  • Design and build GenAI-powered applications for text, code, or multimodal tasks.
  • Develop and deploy RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines using vector databases.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and UX teams to build scalable GenAI use cases.
  • Ensure responsible AI practices by addressing bias, hallucinator, and privacy issues.
  • Evaluate and optimize model performance, cost, and latency for production-grade systems.
  • Keep up to date with the rapidly evolving GenAI ecosystem (APIs, open-source models, frameworks).
  • Conduct AI experimentation for task automation using tools like Lang Chain, AutoGen, or ReAct.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, AI, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of NLP, deep learning, and transformer-based architecture.
  • Experience with GenAI frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, or Hugging Face.
  • Strong Python coding skills and familiarity with REST APIs and orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with LLMOps tools (e.g., Weights & Biases, PromptLayer, BentoML) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering, fine-tuning (LoRA, PEFT), and safety alignment techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
