We aim to be the primary service provider for the people and entities responsible for the care, movement, and long-term preservation of art and culture.

To that end, Crozier Fine Arts is seeking to add two Art Handling Specialists to our Special Project Team in Providence, RI. Art Handling Specialists are responsible for ensuring the safe handling of artwork, during transit, from one facility to another. This position will also provide expertise, leadership and guidance during projects while acting as liaison between clients and company managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle, move, wrap, pack, and crate art objects, decorative arts, and/or furniture
• Install/uninstall art for onsite projects
• Load/unload trucks to ensure safe transit
• Plan, organize, and pack trucks to ensure utmost safety of objects during transit
• Conduct inspection reports
• Act as onsite liaison between clients and company management
• Determine strategy for projects, particularly when senior staff are not on site
• Spend 5% of time on laptop / desktop computer, telephone

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1 Year - hands on experience in fine art, decorative art and/or design
• Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry standard packing, crating, and installation techniques and materials
• Ability to communicate clearly to clients and coworkers
• Detail oriented: thorough, organized, accurate and productive in work
• Must be a team player, with the ability to lead and effectively communicate instructions. Additionally, must be self-motivated and able to work well under pressure

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM
