Position Overview: Contractor (3 Months)

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team initially on a 3-month contract basis, with the potential for contract renewal or full-time employment based on performance and business needs. The Assistant Producer will collaborate closely with senior producers, directors, and various departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the creative vision. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  2. At least 1 years of commercial production experience (e.g., production assistant or coordinator roles).
  3. Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
  4. Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  5. Knowledge of commercial video production processes, from pre-production to post-production.
  6. Basic budgeting and financial tracking skills.
  7. Proficiency with Google G-Suite and necessary production management software.
  8. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Research and Development: Assist in researching topics, content, and subjects for scripts, documentaries, or projects.
  2. Script and Content Assistance: Collaborate with creative strategists or producers to develop or refine scripts/storyboards and provide feedback.
  3. Scheduling: Create and coordinate production schedules, ensuring cast, crew, and equipment are available.
  4. Budget and Cost Management: Assist in tracking expenses and managing parts of the budget while recommending cost-effective solutions.
  5. Coordinating Production: Assist the producer and director with day-to-day logistics, managing crew and equipment.
  6. Supervising Set Operations: Act as a liaison between the producer and various departments to ensure smooth operations.
  7. Problem Solving: Address issues like equipment malfunctions or scheduling conflicts, ensuring production stays on track.
  8. Script and Continuity Supervision: Monitor adherence to the script and ensure continuity during shooting.
  9. Editing Assistance: Collaborate with the editing team to ensure the cut aligns with the director’s vision.
  10. Documentation: Maintain production documents, including shot lists, call sheets, and legal paperwork like permits, contracts.
  11. Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication between different departments and ensure clarity.
  12. Talent and Crew Coordination: Book and manage logistics for cast and crew, including transportation and accommodation.
  13. Assist with Promotional Materials: Help create promotional content and coordinate with marketing teams for campaigns.
  14. Press Kits and Distribution: Assist in preparing press kits and other media-related materials for distribution on needed channels .
  15. Support Senior Producers: Act as a second-in-command, supporting producers in all areas and tasks as needed.
  16. Maintaining Deadlines: Ensure production-related activities meet deadlines and stay on schedule.
