Associate Artist

A NEW AND EXCITING ROLE!

East Side Games is looking for an Associate Artist to join our Live Ops Team! As a LiveOps Artist, you’ll have the opportunity to create content across three fantastic titles, including Trailer Park Boys: Greasy Money, Cheech and Chong Bud Farm and Bud Farm: Idle Tycoon! You’ll work hand in hand withthe LiveOps Art Lead and the rest of the LiveOps artists in creating lots of fun content for our amazing players to enjoy! Please be aware that we are a remote-first studio, hiring across Canada, and do not provide an office space for employees.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Create assets for the LiveOps art pipeline (from concept to release)
• Utilize the Adobe Suite to design and build optimized assets
• Work in Unity to test and implement your assets
• Work collaboratively with other disciplines to bring your tasks from initial concept to full implementation
• Research and analyze trends in the Mobile game industry so you can assist in providing the best player experience possible

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• An Understanding of the character design principles and the ability to create dynamic expressions and poses
• An understanding of perspective/ composition and experience using those fundamentals in the creation of backgrounds or environments
• Production-level knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Animate)
• Basic knowledge of Unity is a plus
• A portfolio of polished 2D work that showcases a range of character design, environment and prop examples
• Ability to manage your time, by meeting assigned deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic studio
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal

• A mobile game fanatic. You are on top of the latest games, trends and what’s happening in live events, especially match games!

Compensation Range: $52K-$70K CAD per annum. Salary is determined by experience, skills, and capabilities.
