As a Permit Design Engineer at Enphase Energy, you will be part of an engineering team focused on designing permits for residential and commercial solar systems in North America. You will utilize the Solargraf tool, a cutting-edge platform for solar design, ensuring compliance with North American Residential, Electrical, and jurisdictional requirements. Your responsibilities will include understanding project specifications, creating detailed 2D or 3D designs using software, analyzing data to devise creative solutions, and drafting and mapping projects using Auto CAD and other relevant platforms. You will also be involved in technical/functional work alignments and solar project planning, modeling, drafting, and designing. This role requires a BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
Must have:
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Good knowledge of Auto CAD
  • BE/B.Tech/Diploma - Electrical/Civil
  • Decent communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
Good to have:
  • Experience and knowledge of CAD + Solar designing

About the role: 
As an permit design engineer, you will be part of engineering team that focus on permit design for Solar residential & commercial system in North America through Solargraf tool (an cutting edge end to end platform for solar design) focusing compliance to North America Residential, Electrical & Jurisdiction requirements.
 
What you will do: 
  • Understands the solar project specification and executes the project as per specification 
  • Use software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs for complex projects 
  • Should analyze data and situation and come up with creative solutions using CAD 
  • Drafting, designing jobs and mapping projects using Auto CAD & other relevant platforms
  • Technical / Functional work alignments.
  • Will work under Solar projects - planning, modelling, drafting, and designing

Who you are and what you bring: 

  • Experience: 1-2 Years
  • The person should have good knowledge of Auto CAD
  • Experience and knowledge of CAD + Solar designing would be preferred
  • Should be comfortable to work in rotational shifts, if required
  • Should be a BE/B.Tech/Diploma – Electrical/Civil 
  • Should have decent communication skills
 
Other requirements:
  • Office applications: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Project (MPP) Quality
  • Should be a keen learner
