This role focuses on enhancing software and experiential quality within a designated Feature Group, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving initiatives. The Associate Quality Designer understands group processes, advocates for bug prevention, and owns test strategy for their assigned POD. Responsibilities include leveraging testing methodologies, designing quality strategies, analyzing data for automation, and fostering collaboration. The role also involves mentoring team members and ensuring quality standards are prioritized in development.
Must have:
  • Improves software and experiential quality practices within their designated Feature Group.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities and drives associated initiatives.
  • Understands their group's processes and interactions with partners and peers.
  • Advocates for bug prevention, containment, and early QV involvement.
  • Owns test strategy and planning for the assigned POD.
  • Leverages testing skills and methodologies to test the product and share results systematically.
  • Designs, develops, and leads quality strategies for owned feature/POD.
  • Researches and proposes solutions for increasing test coverage efficiency.
  • Compiles data from multiple sources into cohesive summaries to communicate status and risk.
  • Uses different testing methodologies and analyzes feature sets for automation opportunities (Risk-based Testing).
  • Uses development tools to guide issue identification upstream and promote defect prevention.
  • Communicates status and risk through cohesive summaries.
  • Serves as the communication bridge between development partners and QA teams.
  • Provides technical, quantitative, and qualitative feedback.
  • Represents the QA perspective effectively in meetings, ensuring quality standards are prioritized.
  • Leads improvements and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Promotes professional growth within the QA team.
  • Mentors and supports team members in implementing quality strategies.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or game design.
  • Familiarity with automated testing, common automation tool sets, telemetry, and data literacy.
  • Experience with defect and task tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Experience owning continuous improvement initiatives and executing from start to finish.
  • Ability to create Test Strategies anchored in Defect prevention and early QA involvement.
  • Understanding of concepts of defect prevention and containment.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Your Responsibilities

Quality Strategy and Test Planning:

Experience and Knowledge:

  • 2+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or game design
