Job Description

Wildlife Studios seeks a passionate Associate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their Cloud Platform team. The SRE will focus on building and maintaining highly available, user-friendly systems. This involves developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting infrastructure services (Kubernetes, NATS, databases, etc.), defining monitoring patterns, automating infrastructure provisioning, and supporting partner teams in best practices. The ideal candidate has proven coding experience (Go/Python preferred), understands computer science fundamentals, and has experience with cloud services and Infrastructure as Code tools. The role demands strong communication and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced environment.

We're looking for a talented and passionate Site Reliability Engineer to join Wildlife's Cloud Platform team.

As an SRE, your goal will be to provide easy-to-use, highly available systems for all engineers in the company. Within the Cloud Platform team, your main focus will be on improving infrastructure services—leveraging and refining existing automation while contributing to the development of new services that enhance scalability and usability.

What You’ll Do

  • Be part of a cross-functional team, directly contributing to the development and maintenance of infrastructure services.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize infrastructure clusters (Kubernetes, NATS, ETCD, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, etc.) and services (GitLab, Vault, Artifactory, Datadog, Jaeger, etc.).
  • Define monitoring and observability patterns for infrastructure services.
  • Troubleshoot and manage incidents in production.
  • Automate and enhance infrastructure provisioning, improving our Infrastructure as Code or implementing new features in our Internal Developer Platform.
  • Support partner teams in architecting and scaling their applications and infrastructure following Cloud best practices.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven coding experience in at least one programming language (Go and Python are preferred).
  • A university degree in a computing-related field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development) or equivalent market experience.
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (e.g., operating systems, networking, concurrency, memory management, algorithm analysis).
  • Experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Crossplane, etc.).
  • Strong written communication skills in English, with a willingness to improve spoken skills.
