The AWS Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services. This includes overseeing the deployment of AWS solutions, monitoring and managing AWS environments for optimal performance and security, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with organizational goals, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing existing cloud solutions. The role also involves maintaining detailed documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, designing and executing plans for migrating legacy applications to the cloud, and implementing hybrid cloud solutions if necessary. The architect should have proficiency in key AWS services and knowledge of programming languages, networking, security, data storage, DevOps tools, and containerization. They must also possess skills in cloud migration and cost management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designing Cloud Solutions: Create scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures using AWS services.
Implementation and Deployment: Oversee the deployment of AWS solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements.
Monitoring and Management: Continuously monitor and manage AWS environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with organizational goals.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
Optimization: Propose and implement strategies to optimize existing cloud solutions for cost, performance, and security.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of cloud architectures and processes.
Compliance and Security: Ensure that cloud solutions comply with industry standards and best practices for security and data protection.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Develops and implements scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions.
Designs and executes plans for migrating legacy applications to the cloud.
Optimizes cloud deployments using AWS services like ECS, Copilot, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker.
Implements hybrid cloud solutions across different cloud platforms if necessary

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

Four-year college degree in computer science, engineering or related field plus a minimum of 12 years of related experience or advanced degree with 12+ years of related experience AWS Core Services: Proficiency in key AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
Networking: Understanding of networking concepts and AWS networking services.
Security: Familiarity with AWS security services and best practices for securing cloud environments.
Data Storage: Knowledge of data storage options and database services on AWS.
DevOps Tools: Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
Cloud Migration: Skills in planning and executing cloud migration projects.
Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Cost Management: Ability to manage and optimize cloud costs using AWS cost management tools.
