Job Description

This full-time Benefits & Leaves Coordinator role offers comprehensive HR experience within the Benefits and Leaves of Absence team. You will serve as the primary support for employees and managers on benefits and leave administration, resolving questions and connecting them to resources. The position involves owning the parental leave program, managing leave data, supporting medical leaves, and enhancing benefits offerings through vendor relations and audits. You will also collaborate with various HR teams to build foundational HR generalist knowledge.
Must have:
  • Owning our parental leave program from end to end
  • Liaising with our leave carrier, maintaining leave data, and running time-off reports and audits
  • Supporting requests for medical leaves and accommodations
  • Participating in utilization reviews, renewal meetings, and market analysis
  • Working closely with our benefits specialist to continuously enhance our benefits offerings
  • Serving as the primary contact for insurance providers, benefit vendors, and our COBRA administrator
  • Partnering with our onboarding team to manage the New Hire Benefits Orientation each month
  • Helping run our annual wellness initiatives, and providing support during cyclical events such as Open Enrollment

About the Position

We're looking for someone interested in human resources to join our Benefits and Leaves of Absence team. In this full-time role, you'll gain comprehensive HR experience while supporting impactful projects and developing deep expertise in benefits and leave administration.

Across the benefits and leaves space, you will act as the first line of support for employees and managers, offering approachable, thoughtful assistance to help resolve questions and connect people to the right resources.

We believe foundational HR generalist knowledge is essential to a successful career in human resources, so you'll also have opportunities to collaborate with our learning team, our HR Systems group, our HR partners, and our employment lawyer.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Owning our parental leave program from end to end, bringing fresh eyes to streamline processes and enhance our offerings
  • Liaising with our leave carrier, maintaining leave data, and running time-off reports and audits
  • Supporting requests for medical leaves and accommodations
  • Participating in utilization reviews, renewal meetings, and market analysis
  • Working closely with our benefits specialist to continuously enhance our benefits offerings through audits, vendor evaluations, and RFP processes
  • Serving as the primary contact for insurance providers, benefit vendors, and our COBRA administrator on data feeds, program inquiries, and administrative matters
  • Partnering with our onboarding team to manage the New Hire Benefits Orientation each month
  • Helping run our annual wellness initiatives, and providing support during cyclical events such as Open Enrollment

About You

  • Have 1-3 years of HR experience (benefits and/or leaves experience is preferred)
  • Comfortable juggling competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who demonstrates sound judgment and initiative while keeping others informed as appropriate
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Mature, trustworthy, and discreet, with an appreciation for the importance of confidentiality in this role
  • Have a positive attitude with the flexibility to handle ambiguous situations
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Team player with a collaborative, “customer service” mindset
