POLITICO illuminates the forces shaping global power. Since 2007, we have provided information that anticipates tomorrow's headlines, rather than simply reporting yesterday's news. In an era where politics has become the defining force of our time, our work has never been more essential.
Ministers and cabinet secretaries start their day with our analyses. CEOs define their strategies based on our reports. Association leaders rely on our insights to influence public policies. We provide them with the raw facts and clear analyses they need to navigate the most complex political landscape of our time.
Our more than 1,100 editorial professionals, spread across the world's major democratic capitals — Washington, Brussels, London, Paris, Berlin, Sacramento, and New York — form the leading global newsroom specializing in politics and public policy. We tell how power really works, explaining who holds it and how they intend to exercise it, connecting dots others don't see, and delivering exclusives from sources others ignore.
Innovation has always been at the heart of our story. From our launch, we bet on depth rather than breadth, on talent rather than traffic, and on the central role politics would play in modern life. In 2011, we took a new gamble by launching POLITICO Pro, to help decision-makers understand how public affairs work, transforming both their way of influencing government action and the practice of journalism.
These choices have made POLITICO the most successful digital news startup of its generation and an indispensable resource for leaders shaping the future. Today, we are a rarity in the media: a growing, profitable, and sustainable news organization.
