Role Overview: As an engineer specializing in CAD Tool and Flow software development, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining automation tools and flows. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive documentation, providing support to internal teams, and ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our automation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply engineering principles to develop and optimize CAD tools and flows to enhance productivity, efficiency, and results.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation processes and tools.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams on CAD automation tools and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in automation processes.
  • Coordinate issues and initiatives with HW, SW, IT, and EDA engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Conduct self-guided research and participate in periodic training to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and incorporate new methods into daily work.
  • Propose and execute innovative solutions to complex problems, contributing to the continuous improvement of our CAD automation capabilities.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, GNU Make, and JavaScript.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Plus: Knowledge in VLSI (Very-Large-Scale Integration) design and verification, and EDA tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

  • Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

  • PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$115,600.00 - $173,400.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
