Papegames is seeking a Character Concept Artist for Infinity Nikki's 2026 Autumn Recruitment. This role involves designing the visual aspects of game NPCs, collaborating with various departments from concept to implementation. Key responsibilities include planning lens colors, creating keyframe art, and designing scene atmospheres based on scripts. The artist will also lead or participate in creating narrative illustrations like storyboards and animated cutscenes, while helping maintain a consistent art style for the game's world. Candidates should possess strong drawing skills, proficiency in design software, and a passion for game culture.
Must have:
  • Responsible for visual design of game NPC ecosystem, collaborating with planning and programming.
  • Complete lens color planning, keyframe art, and scene atmosphere design based on script.
  • Lead/participate in creating story illustrations, including sequential images and animated CGs.
  • Assist in building game worldview visual system to ensure art style consistency.
Good to have:
  • Portfolio with storyboard design or illustration design works (e.g., storyboard scripts, four-panel comics, atmosphere maps, illustrations, etc.)
  • Familiarity with 3D auxiliary tools such as Blender
  • Understanding of game development processes and prior game project internship experience

1. Responsible for the visual design of the game NPC ecosystem, collaborating with planning, programming, and other departments to complete early concept development and creative implementation.

2. Based on script and storyboard requirements, complete lens color planning, keyframe art, and scene atmosphere design.

3. Lead/participate in the creation of story illustrations, including but not limited to sequential storyboard-style images, animated cutscene CGs, and other narrative art content.

4. Assist in building the game's worldview visual system to ensure consistency in art style.

Job Requirements

1. Majors in art, animation, digital media art, etc., are preferred.

2. Professional ability requirements:

  • Solid foundation in modeling and hand-drawing skills, proficient in sketching, perspective composition, and color theory.
  • Familiar with film and animation narrative language, mastering performance rhythm and animation principles.
  • Proficient in mainstream drawing software such as Photoshop and Procreate.

3. Bonus points:

  • Portfolio with storyboard design or illustration design works (e.g., storyboard scripts, four-panel comics, atmosphere maps, illustrations, etc.).
  • Familiarity with 3D auxiliary tools such as Blender is preferred.
  • Understanding of game development processes and prior game project internship experience is preferred.

4. Passionate about game culture, with good teamwork awareness and communication skills.
