As CEO, you will lead the strategy, operations, and culture of the company, driving the team to disrupt the behavioral health industry with AI. You will focus on growth, operational excellence, and building a high-performing team. You will collaborate with the board, founder, and stakeholders to ensure efficient growth and advance the company's mission of providing accessible, personalized mental wellbeing solutions. Key responsibilities include leading the company vision, overseeing daily operations, integrating AI technologies, fundraising, and maintaining market leadership.
Must have:
  • Proven experience as a CEO at an innovative startup.
  • Deep understanding of the behavioral health industry.
  • Experience with AI and its applications, especially generative AI.
  • Track record of successfully raising funds with investors at Series B or later stages.
  • Strong operator with experience in building scalable systems and driving operational excellence.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience with healthcare or the mental health industry.
  • Prior experience working with regulatory bodies and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and best practices.
  • Passion for improving mental health outcomes and a deep commitment to ethical AI.
  • Experience dealing with FDA and have close connections with payers.

Talentiz has been exclusively engaged by a VC to recruit a CEO for a Series B startup at the forefront of using AI to transform therapy and mental wellbeing. This AI-native company addresses behavioral health challenges by offering always-available mental wellbeing support, enhancing access and patient experience. Through configurable deployment, it drives engagement and satisfaction, while its analytics capability delivers insights to improve quality scores. The mission is to provide accessible, personalized mental wellbeing and medical grade  solutions that break down barriers to care. With cutting-edge AI, the company empowers individuals to achieve mental wellbeing in ways never before possible. Co-Founded by a Stanford University clinical scientist, the product has been category leading in terms of human-centered design and scientific validation.  Now they are seeking a visionary leader to help shepherd the next chapter of product development using genAI,  while maintaining safety of the application for their users and above all else, be a fiscally diligent operator.

The Role:

As CEO, you will spearhead our strategy, operational excellence, and company culture, leading the team to disrupt the behavioral health industry using AI. You’ll drive the growth of a high-performing company while remaining committed to our mission. This role demands a deep understanding of the mental health sector, strong operational skills, and familiarity with AI technologies to keep us at the forefront of innovation. You will collaborate closely with the board, founder, and other key stakeholders to drive efficient growth, commercial traction, and advance our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Company Vision and Strategy: Lead the company’s long-term strategic vision, particularly around the deployment of AI-based therapeutic tools, ensuring alignment with business goals and our mission to democratize mental health care
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations, ensuring operational excellence across all functions
  • AI and Technology Integration: Collaborate closely with the company founder to translate their vision on the use of AI technologies in our products
  • Fundraising: Lead fundraising efforts, investor relations, and partnership building
  • Market Leadership: Stay on top of trends in both AI and the mental health space to position the company as a category leader. Identify and act on opportunities for expansion, partnerships, and market differentiation
  • Team Leadership and Culture: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, promoting a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and innovation
  • Regulatory and Ethical Standards: Ensure that the company meets all regulatory standards and operates with the highest ethical standards in data privacy, AI ethics, and mental health practices

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a CEO or senior executive at an innovative startup
  • Deep understanding of the behavioral health industry, including in-depth knowledge of payer and provider systems
  • Experience with AI and its applications, particularly generative AI or AI-driven healthcare solutions
  • Track record of successfully raising funds and working with investors at Series B or later stages
  • Strong operator with experience in building scalable systems, managing complex teams, and driving operational excellence
  • Have 0 to 1 company building experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with healthcare or the mental health industry
  • Prior experience working with regulatory bodies and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and best practices
  • Passion for improving mental health outcomes and a deep commitment to ethical AI
  • Experience dealing with FDA and have close connections with payers
