As the Community Engagement Specialist at Coupa, you will be a key player in nurturing our online community, promoting knowledge sharing, and fostering a sense of belonging among our members. Your role will be instrumental in creating an environment where customers can learn from each other, exchange best practices, and feel valued and recognized. By building trust and facilitating meaningful interactions, you will be instrumental in cultivating a vibrant and engaged community that enhances the overall customer experience and strengthens our organization's relationship with our valued customers.
Must have:
  • Provide day-to-day online community moderation, enforce guidelines, and escalate questions.
  • Assist in designing and implementing programs to drive member engagement.
  • Plan and coordinate community events like ‘Ask Coupa’ AMA-style events.
  • Identify, research, and analyze community engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor community initiatives progress and report findings to management.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders and SMEs as a community spokesperson.
  • Develop and implement incentive and engagement programs like gamification and badging.
Good to have:
  • Experience writing for a community audience

The Impact of a Community Engagement Specialist at Coupa:

As the Community Engagement Specialist at Coupa, you will be a key player in nurturing our online community, promoting knowledge sharing, and fostering a sense of belonging among our members. Your role will be instrumental in creating an environment where customers can learn from each other, exchange best practices, and feel valued and recognized. By building trust and facilitating meaningful interactions, you will be instrumental in cultivating a vibrant and engaged community that enhances the overall customer experience and strengthens our organization's relationship with our valued customers.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide day-to-day online community moderation, including monitoring discussions, enforcing guidelines, and escalating questions to subject matter experts as needed.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of programs and content to drive member engagement and enhance the community experience. This may include organizing competitions, web chats, challenges of the week, and more.
  • Plan and coordinate community events such as ‘Ask Coupa’ AMA-style events to drive engagement and deepen relationships.
  • Identify, research, and analyze current and potential community engagement initiatives to optimize the community's impact.
  • Monitor the progress of community initiatives and report findings to management for informed decision-making.
  • Work cross-functionally to engage with stakeholders, SMEs, and other Coupa employees as a spokesperson for the Coupa Community.
  • Work with the business to develop and implement appropriate incentive and engagement programs, such as gamification, badging, and other member recognition initiatives.

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be fluent in English.
  • Experience writing for a community audience is advantageous
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently
  • Knowledge of community engagement tools and techniques
  • Able to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • One to two years of experience in community engagement or related field
  • Experience working with Discourse, Marketo, Salesforce, and/or Goldcast
