AECOM Tishman is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Northern, VA to support a construction project for a technology client. The role involves overall management administration, establishing project objectives, providing technical direction, enforcing company policies, maintaining client interface, and ensuring projects are constructed according to design, budget, and schedule. The position carries significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction projects.
Must have:
  • Provide overall management administration to project
  • Assist in establishing project specific objectives and policies
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers
  • Enforce company and project policies
  • Maintain close client interface
  • Ensure all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
  • Have significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project
  • BS Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Structural)/Construction Management or similar curriculum
  • 6 years of relevant vertical construction experience
Good to have:
  • 6 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, challenging, technical, mission critical construction project
  • Experience with large vertical construction (200,000 Sq Ft)
  • Experience in sitework, concrete, steel, and interiors in mission critical environments
  • Experience running larger scale projects
  • Fluency in construction paperwork including scope writing, purchasing, scheduling, planning, invoicing
  • Experience in ground-up construction
  • Ability to guide/train and mentor junior staff members
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Highly organized, professional and have excellent communication skills

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Structural)/Construction Management or similar curriculum plus 6 years of relevant vertical construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in the construction industry.
