AECOM is seeking a Conveyance Infrastructure Engineer in Edmonton, AB. This role requires significant experience in civil engineering, technology, and construction management, particularly with municipal infrastructure design and construction. The successful candidate will work within a team, communicate effectively, and demonstrate high initiative. Responsibilities include supporting infrastructure delivery, primarily in municipal water, wastewater, and drainage/stormwater sectors, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
Must have:
  • Working knowledge of water / wastewater / drainage conveyance infrastructure in a municipal environment.
  • Design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater /drainage conveyance facilities.
  • Prepare documentation for design projects and reports.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates.
  • Preparation of project specifications and contract documents.
  • Perform constructability reviews.
  • Perform construction inspections.
  • Lead construction contract administration.
  • Client communication and management.
  • Assistance with proposal preparation.
  • Contract preparation and negotiation.
  • Coordination with regulatory agencies.
  • Project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
Good to have:
  • Experience with municipal wastewater, stormwater conveyance, drainage and pumping infrastructure
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients
  • Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • MMCD Contract Administration experience
  • Experience in condition assessment of municipal infrastructure
  • Training and experience in project management
  • Experience in proposal writing and project scoping
  • Design of systems associated with lift stations, pump stations and other mechanical equipment associated with water and wastewater utilities
  • Experience with trenchless technologies

Job Details

AECOM is searching for a Conveyance Infrastructure Engineer to be based in our Edmonton, AB office. The appropriately qualified candidate will have an understanding and significant experience in civil engineering, civil technology and construction management principles and is very familiar with the design and construction of municipal infrastructure. They will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. They will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and display drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. They will be expected to support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal water, wastewater and drainage/stormwater sector.
