The Creative Manager will lead Zelis’ India-based creative production operations, combining deep creative agency leadership experience with a pioneering role as our Generative AI captain. This strategic, high-impact position defines the future of our creative function, partnering with the VP, Brand & PR, and Creative Director. The role demands hands-on expertise in creative agency operations and a proven track record in managing end-to-end creative workflows for global brands, preferably in technology or healthcare. You will lead a talented team, driving creative excellence, operational agility, and innovation, while mentoring them on emerging Generative AI tools to increase efficiency and expand portfolios. This is a creative transformation role, shaping how Zelis delivers design at scale, blending agency-grade creative discipline with Generative AI power.
Must have:
  • Lead with minimum 8 years of experience in a creative agency, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Apply agency-level quality and process discipline.
  • Manage multi-format creative output.
  • Own the AI creative roadmap, identify, evaluate, and implement Generative AI tools.
  • Design and deliver AI training programs.
  • Translate complex technology concepts into visually compelling outputs.
  • Partner with global stakeholders on creative strategy.
  • Mentor, coach, and manage a cross-functional creative team.
  • Use project management tools (e.g., Wrike, Asana).
  • Maintain and evolve the in-house style guide.
  • 10+ years in creative roles, with at least 3 years in creative agency leadership.
  • Proven success in creative operations for global brands.
  • Demonstrated passion for Generative AI and track record of integrating AI tools.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative versatility.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma.
  • Exceptional project management skills.

Position Overview

The Creative Manager will lead Zelis’ India-based creative production operations, combining deep creative agency leadership experience with a pioneering role as our Generative AI captain. This is a strategic, high-impact position that will define the future of our creative function in partnership with the Vice President, Brand & PR, and the Creative Director. This role demands hands-on expertise in creative agency operations and a proven track record in managing end-to-end creative workflows for global brands—preferably in the technology or healthcare sector. Equally important, you will play a key role in the selection and integration of Generative AI tools into our design workflows, ensuring the team leverages emerging technologies to scale production, enhance quality, and increase efficiency without compromising brand integrity. You will lead a talented team of designers, video producers, and content specialists, driving creative excellence, operational agility, and innovation in a fast-paced, global environment. You will help mentor the team on how to use emerging Generative AI tools to increase their efficiency and expand their portfolios.

1. Creative Agency Expertise (Non-Negotiable)

  • Lead with minimum 8 years of experience in a creative agency, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing people and creative operations.
  • Apply agency-level quality and process discipline to ensure efficient project delivery, brand consistency, and measurable creative impact.
  • Leverage your background to manage multi-format creative output—including digital campaigns, print, social content, storyboards, and brand systems.

2. AI Leadership – Generative AI Captain

  • Own the AI creative roadmap: identify, evaluate, and implement Generative AI tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, OpenAI Sora, Synthesia, Midjourney) to enhance design workflows.
  • Design and deliver AI training programs to upskill creative teams and embed AI best practices into day-to-day operations.
  • Measure and report on efficiency gains and quality improvements resulting from AI integration.
  • Stay ahead of AI trends and evaluate emerging tools for creative innovation.

3. Creative Strategy & Execution

  • Translate complex technology concepts into visually compelling and simple-to-understand creative outputs.
  • Partner with global stakeholders to mature creative strategy and ensure output aligns with brand vision and business objectives.
  • Present creative concepts and articulate the rationale behind design decisions to internal clients.

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor, coach, and manage a cross-functional creative team, ensuring high performance and continuous skill development.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and feedback.
  • Effectively allocate resources, balance priorities, and manage multiple concurrent projects.

5. Operational Excellence

  • Use project management tools (e.g., Wrike, Asana) to track tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain and evolve the in-house style guide while ensuring brand integrity across all creative touchpoints.
  • Introduce process improvements to optimize workflow efficiency and scalability.

ABOUT YOU:

  • 10+ years in creative roles, with at least 3 years in creative agency leadership—non-negotiable.
  • Proven success in creative operations for global brands, preferably in technology or healthcare sectors.
  • Demonstrated passion for Generative AI and track record of integrating AI tools into production workflows.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative versatility across multiple formats (print, digital, video, illustration).
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and familiarity with AI-powered creative tools.
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience with tools like Wrike or similar.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Additional certifications in Brand Strategy, Digital Marketing, or AI in Creative Industries a plus.
