As a Credit Risk Analytics Manager, you will lead an analytics team, providing data-driven insights to shape credit products, influence acquisition strategies, portfolio management, collections, and P&L performance. Your analysis will directly impact core business metrics, optimizing and improving credit product performance. You will deep dive into large datasets, forecast P&L, and provide actionable insights, collaborating cross-functionally and presenting findings to C-level executives.
Must have:
  • Lead end-to-end credit product analytics.
  • Analyze and optimize portfolio performance, policy rules, score cut-offs, and credit limits.
  • Forecast P&L, assess affordability, and recommend credit limits.
  • Drive strategy through A/B testing for lending products and collections.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analyses and business intelligence (BI) reports.
  • Present data-driven insights to C-level executives.
  • Lead and mentor your team, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Drive decision-making with actionable insights and solutions.
  • Deep dive into data, translating complex information into clear recommendations.
  • Present complex findings to senior leadership.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams.

Role Overview:

As a Credit Risk Analytics Manager, you will be a key driver in shaping the direction of our credit products and enhancing our decision-making process. You’ll lead a talented analytics team, providing critical data-driven insights that will influence product design, acquisition strategies, portfolio management, collections, and overall P&L performance. Your analysis will directly impact core business metrics, with your recommendations playing a pivotal role in optimizing and improving the performance of our credit products.

You will be expected to deep dive into large data sets to identify trends, forecast P&L, and provide actionable insights that will guide decision-making at every stage of the credit lifecycle. With the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present your findings to C-level executives, you will drive strategy, improve processes, and support your team members in executing key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end credit product analytics, from pricing and underwriting policies to collections and portfolio performance optimization.
  • Analyze and optimize portfolio performance, policy rules, score cut-offs, and credit limits, driving improvements that directly impact core business metrics such as risk and profitability.
  • Forecast P&L, assess affordability, and recommend credit limits, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Drive strategy through A/B testing for lending products and collections strategies, ensuring constant iteration and improvement of the credit products.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analyses and business intelligence (BI) reports to support business decisions, helping guide the evolution of credit products and performance monitoring.
  • Present data-driven insights to C-level executives, explaining trends and making recommendations that influence business decisions.
  • Lead and mentor your team, fostering a collaborative environment that empowers team members to deep dive into data, find actionable insights, and execute strategies effectively.

Who you’ll work with:

You’ll collaborate across Credit Risk, Collection, Finance, Product, Engineering and Data teams - ensuring our credit products are competitive, sustainable, and customer-focused.

We are seeking someone who can:

  • Drive decision-making with actionable insights, recommendations and solutions that improve products and impact key business metrics.
  • Deep dive into data, translating complex information into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Lead a team, providing support, guidance, and mentorship, while creating an environment where team members can grow and excel.
  • Present complex findings to senior leadership, including C-level executives, explaining trends and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams to ensure the alignment of business strategies, while delivering results that impact the company’s success.

Requirements

  • A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Credit Strategy Expertise: Proven experience in designing and executing credit strategies such as underwriting policy rules, score cut-offs, credit limit assignments, and pricing strategy on a consumer credit portfolio.
  • 5+ years of experience in credit risk analytics or data analysis, with at least 2 to 3 years of experience leading a team.
  • Must have
  • Proficient in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of A/B testing methodologies and statistical testing.
  • Experience with statistical software packages (open-source languages like Python or R preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of credit portfolio performance metrics, including, but not limited to annualized loss, vintage curves, roll rate, exposure at default (EAD), and loss given default (LGD).
  • Proven ability to turn data into actionable insights that inform business decisions and optimize credit products.
  • Ability to present complex analyses to senior leadership and explain data trends clearly and concisely.
  • Desirable skills / knowledge
  • Proficiency in programming languages (open-source preferred, e.g., Python, R).
  • Experience in developing end-to-end business reports, including requirement analysis, visualizations, data sourcing, report production, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to interpret and generate actionable insights from monitoring reports, advising business owners on responses and next steps based on findings.
