Job Description

The Customer Success Engineer will work directly with strategic consumer and pro-subscriber accounts to solve technical problems. They will provide expert guidance to customers and internal teams on complex issues. Responsibilities include serving as a technical resource, troubleshooting, and educating customers; becoming a troubleshooting expert for consumer products; partnering with teams to resolve issues; translating customer issue learnings into solutions; and building relationships with customer leaders. They must have 5+ years of experience in technical support or software engineering. The role involves supporting rapid expansion, with the company experiencing tremendous growth.

Job Details

We are seeking a talented Customer Success Engineer to join our team and collaborate directly with our strategic consumer and pro-subscriber accounts. In this role, you will be at the forefront of solving challenging technical problems faced by our customers. As a key member of our technical troubleshooting team, you will provide expert guidance to both our customers and internal teams on complex issues within our environment. Your contributions will be vital in building knowledge within the team and driving strategic initiatives for organizational and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the dedicated technical resource and advocate for our consumer and pro-subscriber customers, providing in-depth troubleshooting assistance and educating them on optimal use of our platforms.
  • Become one of the foremost technical and troubleshooting experts for our consumer product offerings at Perplexity AI.
  • Partner with the Enterprise, Mobile, and Product teams to resolve issues, engaging leaders internally or with customers and coordinating resources across multiple teams as needed.
  • Translate learnings from customer issues into scalable solutions, working with Engineering and Go-To-Market teams to implement improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with customer leaders and operators to ensure the success of their applications.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical support engineering or software engineering roles, with a focus on application development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven ability to identify technical pain points in both our solutions and our customers’ implementations.

Our cash compensation range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
 
Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity may be part of the total compensation package.
