Job Description

The Business Analytics team is seeking a Data Engineer to support projects, process improvement, and report development. This role involves maintaining and enhancing a freight costing engine, driving automation, conducting deep data profiling and analysis using SQL and Python, and leading reporting workflow automation. The engineer will design, develop, and support dashboards, provide analysis for decision-making, and partner with IS&T and other organizations to drive tool development, data governance, and standardized metrics.
Must have:
  • BS in Engineering, Business Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Statistics, Marketing or related field
  • 5-10 years relevant experience
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and timezones
  • Hands on experience in Logistics, Finance and various Operations functions (Planning, Order Management, Forecasting)
  • Ability to query data using SQL and Python
  • Ability to connect back-end data and systems to business processes
  • Ability to perform analysis with complex data
  • Ability to visualize data using Tableau, MS Excel
  • Collaborate with technical teams to translate ambiguous business requirements into sustainable processes and workflows
  • Ability to review process flows and develop new solutions to enable efficiency
  • Strong work ethic and passion to go beyond what is expected
Good to have:
  • MS in Engineering, Business Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Statistics, Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a business analytics role
  • Experience with Financial Forecasting Planning and Analytics (FP&A)
  • Proficiency with Python for advanced analytics automation, SAP, TMS Systems

The Business Analytics team is looking for a Data Engineer to support projects, process improvement and report development.

Maintain and enhance our freight costing engine while driving automation in our processes. Create management systems and suggest process improvements to drive accuracy and efficiency. Conduct deep data profiling and analysis using SQL and Python to uncover actionable insights, trends, and business anomalies. Lead automation of reporting workflows and contribute to the rollout of advanced analytics tools, improving reporting speed and accuracy. Design, develop, and support dashboards and reports for our stakeholders. Provide analysis to support business management and executive decision-making. Work with the IS&T team to drive development of tools to better support business analytics. Partner with other organizations on shared enhancements across tools, data governance, reporting, hierarchy management and KPI’s. Drive alignment across Worldwide and Regional teams through standardized metrics and management systems to support cross-functional decision-making

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $118,500 and $197,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employees also have the opportunity to become a shareholder through participation in discretionary employee stock programs. Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
