Demand Generation Manager

Adyen is looking for a results-oriented Demand Generation Manager in the China market. Based in our Shanghai office, you will develop and execute brand building and education strategies to drive the next phase of growth for our business in China. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a generalist and a digitally savvy demand generation manager with a strong grasp of the Chinese business landscape. You will directly partner with sales leadership and implement creative campaigns to achieve ambitious goals in a collaborative, fast-paced, multicultural environment.

What You'll Do:

  • China Strategy: Develop and optimize a comprehensive demand generation strategy aligned with China market goals to generate a strong pipeline of qualified leads. This includes identifying key target audiences, understanding their online behavior, and mapping the customer journey within the Chinese digital ecosystem.

  • Local Channel activation: Leverage diverse multi-channel strategy relevant to our target segments.This includes, but is not limited to in-person events, search (Baidu and potentially others), social media (WeChat, Weibo, potentially Douyin/TikTok for B2B if relevant), content syndication on local platforms, display advertising within the Chinese internet landscape, and exploring emerging local channels including video 

  • Agency & Budget Management: Lead media agencies, ensuring effective communication, strategic alignment, budget adherence, and performance to targets across all local digital acquisition channels

  • ABM Initiatives: Advance our Account-Based brand awareness and education plans, identifying target accounts and developing tailored multi-channel campaigns that resonate within the local digital environment.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with regional sales and business stakeholders to ensure a unified approach and influence strategy based on market insights derived from local digital channel performance.

  • Performance Optimization & Experimentation: Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of all local digital acquisition channels, identify opportunities for improvement through data-driven insights, and implement impactful A/B tests and experiments to optimize ROI.

  • Full funnel Campaigns: Coordinate with global teams to execute and tailor multi channel full funnel Chinese-specific digital channels, ensuring culturally relevant messaging and channel-specific optimization.

  • Performance Reporting: Use data and insights to measure the effectiveness of Chinese digital acquisition programs across all channels and identify areas for improvement and scalability.

 

Who You Are:

  • Experienced Demand Generation expert: 7+ years managing demand generation , ideally in B2B tech.

  • Strategic & Innovative: Strategic thinker passionate about leveraging new digital tools for results.

  • China Digital Understanding: Strong grasp of the Chinese digital ecosystem.

  • Platform Familiarity: Hands-on experience with relevant Chinese platforms (e.g., Baidu, WeChat, Weibo, Zhihu), plus familiarity with analytics and automation tools.

  • Data-Driven & Analytical: Ability to analyze data, derive insights, and demonstrate ROI.

  • Cross-Channel Knowledge: Understanding of effective media channels across the customer journey in China.

  • Commercially Minded: Ability to connect campaign results to business outcomes.

  • Budget Management Skills: Experience managing digital media and event budgets.

  • Collaborative & Influential: Excellent communicator (English essential with fluency in Mandarin Chinese) with the ability to work autonomously and influence senior commercial stakeholders.

  • Adaptable: Thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
