About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team in San Francisco. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity where you will work at the intersection of design and engineering. As a key contributor, you will help scale design systems, streamline engineering handoffs, and fine-tune every detail post-prototype. If you're passionate about building clean, scalable user interfaces and enjoy diving into code to perfect designs, this role is for you.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and build intuitive UIs in Figma for both mobile and web platforms.
• Translate product requirements into performant, user-friendly interfaces.
• Create reusable cross-platform components (iOS, Android, Web) aligned with the design system.
• Collaborate with engineers to iterate quickly and ensure smooth deployments.
• Maintain visual consistency across our evolving design system.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in product design and front-end engineering.
• Proficiency in Figma for creating high-quality designs.
• Strong knowledge of React and React Native, particularly for mobile-first development.
• Deep understanding of Tailwind CSS and utility-first styling approaches like CSS-in-JS.
• Experience creating responsive UI frameworks with a focus on mobile interaction patterns.
• A portfolio showcasing real-world product work you've shipped (not just concepts).

Bonus Points

• Experience designing for consumer products, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
