Join the Battlefield Engine team as a Development Director, shaping the future of Battlefield. This role is part of the Foundational Tech organization, supporting Battlefield development teams globally by developing core technology and providing game development services. As Development Director, you will lead advanced Software Engineering teams, directly influencing the player's experience across Battlefield titles. This hybrid role in Montreal reports to a Development Director in Madrid.
Must have:
  • Responsible for operational aspects including project reporting, risk management, capacity planning, and efficiency processes.
  • Work with team leadership to define strategy and lead execution against milestones and deliverables.
  • Partner with DDs to identify financial, development, analytical, and creative team dependencies.
  • Implement operational changes and processes to ensure unified and motivated teams.
  • Provide solutions, balance priorities, and find creative solutions to achieve results.
  • Report project and team KPIs that track team performance.
  • Establish regular communication with the team and partners for project status updates.
  • Keep the team and partners' teams informed on development results, schedule, and changes.
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and certifications
  • Agile, PMP/PMI, or PRINCE certifications
  • Experience with financial or business reporting
  • Experience working with non-technical teams in a technological environment

Join the Battlefield Engine team as a Development Director and help shape the future of Battlefield.

As part of the Foundational Tech organization, the Engine team plays a critical role in supporting Battlefield development teams across regions—including Sweden, the UK, the US, and Canada. This cross-functional, geographically distributed team is dedicated to developing core technology and providing game development services in the Battlefield Engine

As Development Director, you'll lead advanced technically experienced Software Engineering teams. Your leadership will directly influence the player's experience across our Battlefield titles. You will report to Development Director in Madrid. We are considering hybrid working options within the Montreal area to apply.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience with 4+ years of management experience working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Solid comprehension of lean, Agile, and waterfall methodologies.
  • Organized and focused on stakeholder management and working within a distributed development across multiple locations.
  • Solid experience working with deep technical teams.
  • Ability to work with different organizational levels, and the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Service-oriented approach with experience in live operations or service operations teams.

Desirable Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and certifications.
