Must have:

Software Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience managing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
  • Hands-on expertise in scripting languages including Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud and container environments.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to optimize infrastructure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud security frameworks, compliance, and cost optimization.
  • Knowledge of hybrid or multi-cloud management strategies.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated deployment pipelines to enable continuous delivery.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions for rapid and consistent environment provisioning.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maximize operational reliability.
  • Document infrastructure architecture, deployment processes, and best practices.
  • Ensure security and compliance of all systems and deployments, including backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, trends, and industry best practices.

Programming & Scripting Languages:

  • Essential: Bash, Python, PowerShell for automation scripting.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of additional scripting languages depending on environment.

Tools & Platforms:

  • Essential: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI for automation and pipeline management.
  • Preferred: Azure DevOps, Argo CD, Spinnaker.

Cloud Technologies:

  • Essential: AWS, Azure, or GCP services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Azure VM, Azure Resource Manager.

Containerization & Orchestration:

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or related roles.
  • Proven experience building, managing, and automating cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on deployment experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
  • Experience with containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure as code.
  • Previous experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Build and optimize automated deployment and integration pipelines.
  • Manage and scale cloud infrastructure to support development and production environments.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to embed automation into build and deployment workflows.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform optimizations.
  • Implement security best practices, conduct audits, and ensure compliance standards are upheld.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management to improve deployment speed and consistency.
  • Keep documentation and operational procedures up to date.
  • Research and evaluate emerging DevOps tools and practices to continuously improve current processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, or similar are desirable.
  • Proven ability to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure platforms in cloud environments.
