Job Description

The Editor will be responsible for generating and monitoring projects for the second cycle of primary school and secondary school, with a primary focus on the area of social sciences. This involves organizing and monitoring editorial projects, analyzing and editing author drafts, and overseeing the editing process. The role requires maintaining constant communication with the team and freelance collaborators. The ideal candidate will have experience in editing school books, a background in social sciences, excellent spelling and writing skills, and proficiency in computer tools, especially Incopy. Knowledge of English is desirable.

Objetivos del puesto:  

Desempeñarse como editor para la generación y seguimiento de proyectos de segundo ciclo de la escuela primaria y la escuela secundaria, con principal incidencia en el área de ciencias sociales.

Funciones y Responsabilidades Principales:

  • Organizar y realizar el seguimiento de los proyectos editoriales asignados.
  • Analizar y realizar la edición de crudos de autoría.
  • Realizar el seguimiento del proceso de edición en sus distintas etapas.
  • Mantener una fluida comunicación e intercambio con el equipo de trabajo y con los colaboradores freelance.

Experiencia, habilidades y conocimientos

Esenciales/Excluyentes:

  • Experiencia en la edición de libros escolares.
  • Formación o experiencia en el área de Ciencias Sociales.
  • Excelente ortografía y redacción.
  • Manejo de herramientas informáticas, en especial uso del Incopy.

Deseables/No excluyentes:

  • Conocimiento de inglés
