Job Description

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an Embedded Software Integration Engineer to oversee hardware and software design solutions for electronic components in North American truck products. The responsibilities include collaborating with global development teams, monitoring project progress, and ensuring component integration with Tier-1 suppliers. The engineer will also be responsible for adhering to project timelines, assisting with ECU installation, addressing component-related issues, managing defect reports, and documenting software configurations. Furthermore, the role involves utilizing Canalyzer tools for troubleshooting, downloading software, conducting initial tests, and participating in agile sprints. The candidate should be prepared to work on trucks for debugging and troubleshooting.

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the release of hardware and software design solutions for electronic components related to vehicle functions, body controls, and specific body builder applications tailored for North American truck products.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with global technology development teams to monitor the progress of platform development and engage in discussions with Tier-1 suppliers regarding component integration.
Adhere to Level 4 time plan activities and key milestones to ensure project timelines are met.
Assist with the installation of body Electronic Control Units (ECUs) as necessary.
Partner with the truck integration team to address component-related issues that may arise.
Manage defect reports by following the established resolution process.
Document software configurations for various variant combinations and ensure compliance with the software release process.
Utilize Canalyzer tools for log file analysis and troubleshooting activities.
Download software using factory, engineering, and service tools as required.
Conduct initial smoke tests on the bench prior to handing over to integration teams.
Participate in PI planning, breaking down features into stories and tasks, and ensure progress through agile sprints.
Be prepared to work on trucks as needed for debugging and troubleshooting purposes.

Salary Range: $70,000-75,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
