Job Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer to work with LSEG's Azure data platform, delivering highly scalable services and outstanding product experiences across the technology stack, including CI/CD GitLab pipelines, Terraform, Azure services, and databases. This role involves collaborating with engineering groups to build full-stack web applications, ensuring product capabilities align with strategic architecture, and contributing to a fun, challenging, and growth-oriented team. You will have opportunities for mentorship and career development in high-business impact areas.
Must have:
  • Collaborate with team members and other engineering groups to build full stack web applications and services.
  • Close engagement with architecture teams to ensure product capabilities are crafted in line with the strategic end-state architecture.
  • Delivery of commitments within their portfolio including front to back dev work.
  • Adoption of company agile practices within the team.
  • Delivery on committed results that must be delivered to support achievement of overall business objectives.
  • Coaching and mentoring.
  • Experience in mentoring and provide technical leadership for web application development.
  • Experience in design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and collaboration capabilities.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify and tackle sophisticated problems.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Self-Starter.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take on different tasks.

  • Experience with deployment pipelines, Gitlab CI is an advantage.

ROLE SUMMARY: We are looking to hire an engineer to work with LSEG (LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE GROUP) Azure data platform. As a Software Engineer in the team, you will deliver highly scalable services and outstanding product experiences. Work on multiple layers of the technology stack, ranging from ci/cd gitlab pipelines, terraform, Azure services, working with database/onelake, and everything in between. WORKSTYLE MODEL We know balance is the key, therefore we propose hybrid way of working. You are welcome to work from our brand-new office every day, but you have still an opportunity to stay at home if needed. In this position you can work 4 days a week from home. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: * Collaborate with team members and other engineering groups in Microsoft and LSEG to build full stack web applications and services using the latest web technologies in a sophisticated and agile environment. * Close engagement with the architecture teams to ensure product capabilities are crafted in line with the strategic end-state architecture. * You will be part of a fun-loving, team with multifaceted strengths that seeks challenges, loves learning and values partnership.
