Job Description

Haleon is seeking a dynamic and experienced Salesforce Platform Engineering Manager to lead their Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Salesforce development across multiple Clouds, with a keen focus on building scalable, secure, and efficient Salesforce services. This role offers the opportunity to drive the strategic direction and development of the Salesforce Engineering team, leading in-house efforts to shape scalable, secure solutions.

Must Have:
  • Lead and manage the development team, deploying business critical Salesforce solutions using Sales Cloud platform.
  • Deliver Salesforce projects with high levels of complexity and strategic business value.
  • Ensure engineering decisions incorporate considerations for Salesforce-specific technical debt, system design, stability, reliability, monitoring, and observability.
  • Oversee and review the refactoring of complex Salesforce systems when necessary, making strategic trade-offs between optimal solutions and managing technical debt.
  • Demonstrate expertise in resolving complex and unforeseen Salesforce-related issues under pressure, such as debugging intricate production problems or leading critical incident resolution.
  • Exhibit technical skills beyond coding by leading the design process for complex Salesforce technical challenges within the team or broader organization.
  • Liaise with product owners to bring their ideas to life leveraging innovative technical Salesforce capabilities.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, backlog refinements, Sprint plannings and retrospectives) with a focus on Salesforce tasks aligned with business strategy and OKRs.
  • +4 years of technical experience, including at least 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Strong people management qualities, with a focus on growing talent to form and evolve a highly effective delivery team.
  • Proven track record in Salesforce administration and development roles with deep knowledge across multiple Salesforce products (primarily Sales Cloud, secondarily: Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Agentforce).
  • Extensive experience developing Salesforce customizations using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and executing data migrations.
  • Hands-on experience of integrating with REST APIs and Event-based services.
  • In-depth understanding of Salesforce architectural and operational best practice.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce DX Project setup (automated CI/CD, automated testing) and Git repository management.
  • Track record in designing and operating CRM features using Salesforce in sales.
  • A strong passion for creating clean, maintainable & highly testable code and components.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical aspects to non-technical audience.
  • Fluent English.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the development team, deploying business critical Salesforce solutions using Sales Cloud platform.
  • Deliver Salesforce projects with high levels complexity, and strategic business value. Ensure engineering decisions incorporate considerations for Salesforce-specific technical debt, system design, stability, reliability, monitoring, observability, and alignment with business needs.
  • Oversee and review the refactoring of complex Salesforce systems when necessary. Make strategic trade-offs between achieving optimal solutions and managing technical debt, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategies for debt repayment.
  • Demonstrate expertise in resolving complex and unforeseen Salesforce-related issues under pressure, such as quickly debugging intricate production problems or leading the resolution of critical incidents.
  • Exhibit technical skills beyond coding by leading the design process for complex Salesforce technical challenges within the team or broader organization, ensuring best practice.
  • Liaise with the product owners to bring their ideas to life leveraging innovative technical Salesforce capabilities.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, backlog refinements, Sprint plannings and retrospectives) with a focus on Salesforce tasks aligned with business strategy and OKRs. Ensure effective prioritization and management of the backlog to drive project success.

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • +4 years of technical experience, including at least 1 year of leadership experience
  • Strong people management qualities, with a focus on growing talent to form and evolve a highly effective delivery team.
  • Proven track record in Salesforce administration and development roles with deep knowledge, across multiple Salesforce products (primarily Sales Cloud, secondarily: Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Agentforce).
  • Extensive experience developing Salesforce customizations using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and executing data migrations.
