Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of applicable video HW and/or Systems experience.
- 4+ years of experience with hardware system design, system integration, schematic capture, and circuit simulation software.
- 4+ years of experience with programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems.
- 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
- 1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leverages advanced Video and Computer Vision Engineering knowledge and experience to research and develop critical video codec and computer vision HW.
- Designs, develops, implements, and verifies complex video systems and HW and FW tasks including Video Encoder, Video Decoder, Computer Vision, Video Quality and Features.
- Performs complex architecture, standard study, algorithm, and feature decomposition to drive requirements and specifications for hardware development.
- Ensures advanced KPIs, systems performance, and area and power metrics are met.
- Drives triage of complex problems to determine root causes and addresses the issues.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., design and test) and customers to analyze customer product requirements for new architecture, video, and CV modules or the modification of an existing design for all addressable markets including mobile, automotive, IoT, and others.
- Leads the design of a video system and develops complex features and components in line with proposals or roadmaps for complex products.
- Writes detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex projects to guide users and/or customers to use or implement output.
