Glamour UK is seeking a dynamic Fashion Editor to join our vibrant editorial team.
This pivotal role is central to shaping Glamour UK’s distinctive voice in fashion and lifestyle, delivering trend-savvy, relatable, and inspiring content. As part of a collaborative network that spans both UK and international markets, the Fashion Editor will ensure our coverage remains engaging, accessible and reflective of Glamour’s commitment to empowering young women and celebrating contemporary culture.
The role
- Curate and produce compelling style stories, including newsletter, features and exclusive interviews.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends and cultural shifts to inform fresh, relevant content that resonates with Glamour UK’s audience.
- Collaborate with international Glamour teams to maintain consistency in tone and coverage, while ensuring content remains uniquely British and culturally relevant.
- Develop and nurture relationships with brands, PR agencies, and industry insiders to secure exclusives and innovative collaborations.
- Work closely with commercial teams to develop engaging editorial projects that support advertising and revenue initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, social movements, and cultural conversations to keep Glamour UK’s content timely, authentic, and influential.
- Drive audience engagement and growth by identifying new content opportunities, optimising for SEO, and leveraging social media platforms.
- Represent Glamour at fashion week and other industry events.
- Take ownership of fashion’s editor-led content and produce regular content for social video.
- Build an engaged audience and community around our fashion content.
About you
- Extensive editorial experience in fashion, lifestyle, or youth culture, with proven digital storytelling skills.
- A keen eye for emerging trends, with the ability to pitch innovative stories that connect with a young, diverse readership.
- Proficiency in CMS platforms, editing tools and a strong understanding of digital content production.
- A wealth of contacts and strong connections in the industry.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and social media strategies to maximise reach and engagement.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of growing audiences and cultivating new content ideas.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience working collaboratively across editorial, commercial, and digital teams.
- Deep understanding of Glamour UK’s brand voice, ethos, and audience preferences, supported by an extensive network within the fashion, beauty, and entertainment industries.
- Experience in developing and executing commercial content partnerships and brand collaborations.
