About the role
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys a varied and hands-on role? We're looking for a Finance Administrator to join our team and support our day-to-day finance operations. In this role, you'll play a part in ensuring accurate processing and control of payments, invoices and bank transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and verify all incoming invoices;
Initiate manual payments and payment batches, including salary payments, using Exact;
Prepare and post (internal) sales invoices;
Manage financial transactions, including bank, credit card, and PayPal operations;
Download and reconcile bank transactions to ensure end-of-month balances in Exact match bank statements;
Monitor and manage bank account balances (top-ups and transfers);
Ensure all invoices related to credit card and PayPal transactions are received and recorded
Process incoming (e.g. merchandising) and outgoing PayPal payments, including transaction tracking and follow-up;
Perform monthly checks of interim accounts and resolve any outstanding balances.
About you
We're looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail, solid bookkeeping skills, basic understanding of VAT regulations and a natural talent for working with numbers.
Furthermore its important you have:
Experience with accounting software, preferably Exact Online;
Familiarity with online banking systems;
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines;
Experience with processing and managing emails;
Basic proficiency in English;
Strong perseverance in getting answers from suppliers, customers, and colleagues across the organization;
Based in the Rotterdam area and fluent in Dutch — we’d love to see you at our Rotterdam office!
Although you’ll work closely with a team, we expect you to be highly self-sufficient and capable of working independently. You’ll be part of our Finance team, which consists of a Financial Controller, a Business Controller, and you.
