Job Description

Plaid is seeking an experienced Finance Systems Lead to join the Finance Systems team. This team builds and maintains the financial technology backbone for accounting, payments, billing, and reporting operations. They work cross-functionally to ensure a secure, automated, and scalable finance stack, aiming to reduce friction and enable trusted financial operations. As a Finance Systems Lead, you will manage and optimize Plaid’s NetSuite ERP and related financial applications, driving automation and improving data integrity. Your hands-on work with integrations, workflows, reporting, and configurations will support critical finance processes and strategic scaling initiatives.
Must have:
  • Serve as primary administrator for NetSuite ERP
  • Support and maintain integrations between NetSuite and other platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Pigment, Avalara, bill.com, Paystand, Tesorio)
  • Build and manage custom reports, saved searches, workflows, and roles
  • Troubleshoot data sync issues and ensure clean system-to-system handoffs
  • Collaborate with Finance, RevOps to define requirements and deliver solutions
  • Assist with system testing, change management, and documentation
  • Contribute to finance system roadmap and recommend process improvements
  • 6+ years of experience in finance systems or ERP administration
  • Deep knowledge of NetSuite (administration, configuration, user roles, workflows)
  • Familiarity with integrating Salesforce with NetSuite
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Good to have:
  • Experience with AP systems such as Bill.com, Vic.ai
  • Experience supporting FP&A and applications like Pigment or Anaplan or similar
  • Knowledge of SuiteScript or NetSuite API integrations
  • Exposure to SOX compliance or audit readiness work

Plaid is seeking an experience Finance Systems Lead to join the Finance Systems team.

The Financial Systems team is responsible for building and maintaining the financial technology backbone that powers our accounting, payments, billing, and reporting operations. We work cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Engineering to ensure our finance stack is secure, automated, and scalable. Our mission is to reduce friction, eliminate manual work, and enable trusted financial operations.

As a Finance Systems Lead, you’ll manage and optimize Plaid’s NetSuite ERP and related financial applications. You’ll help drive automation and improve data integrity across our finance tech stack. You’ll be hands-on with integrations, workflows, reporting tools, and system configurations. Your work will directly support critical finance processes and strategic scaling initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary administrator for NetSuite ERP

Qualifications

The target base salary for this position ranges from $114,000/year to $224,400/year [encompassing all zones]. The target base salary will vary based on the job's location.

Our geographic zones are as follows:

Zone 1 - New York City and San Francisco Bay Area

Zone 2 - Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington D.C.

Zone 3 - Austin, Boston, Denver, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego

Zone 4 - Raleigh-Durham and all other US cities

Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location.
