Job Description

As a Firmware Engineer, you'll contribute to a critical Google Pixel project, with opportunities for growth. You'll manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions for Pixel power management and optimization. Responsibilities include developing software/firmware for the Pixel (Android) Kernel, prioritizing power, latency, and system stability optimization, debugging power issues, and developing test suites to detect regressions. This role demands strong software development skills, experience with embedded systems, and a passion for optimizing power consumption in mobile devices.

Good To Have:

Master's or PhD in Engineering/Computer Science
Experience with embedded operating systems
Experience with power management of embedded mobile devices
Experience developing accessible technologies

Must Have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
2 years software development experience
Experience with data structures/algorithms
Develop and support power management software
Lead design, development, and support for power optimization
Debug and triage power issues
Develop test-suits to detect power regression

Minimum qualifications:
