Job Description

Arkadium is seeking an experienced Game Producer to support Microsoft's Casual Games team. This remote role involves driving project planning, coordinating cross-functional delivery, and ensuring timely, high-quality game feature completion. The producer will interact with multidisciplinary teams, shape roadmaps, manage dependencies, and communicate status to leadership. Key responsibilities include leading sprint planning, monitoring schedules, facilitating collaboration, and maintaining project documentation. Candidates must be available to work standard hours in the Western European Time (WET) zone.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with remote distributed teams.

  • Familiarity with monetization, live ops, or gaming-as-a-service models.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Understanding of game development pipelines and technical constraints.
Must Have:
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and feature delivery coordination with engineering, art, QA, and design teams.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and risks to ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and risk to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and help resolve inter-team dependencies.
  • Engage in iterative processes: gather feedback, adapt plans, and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Provide time estimates for production tasks and revisit them as development evolves.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, meeting notes, and decision logs.
  • Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives to refine workflows.
  • Support the quality of delivery by aligning with QA and development teams on feature acceptance and definition of done.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices in game production and suggest process innovations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, computer science, game development, or related field, OR equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Game Producer, Project Manager, or similar role in game development.
  • Experience managing cross-disciplinary teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering features on time within constraints.
  • Familiarity with production tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or others).

Overview

Arkadium is seeking an experienced Game Producer to support one of our top clients, Microsoft, on a suite of top-performing games collaborating with the Microsoft Casual Games team.

The Microsoft Casual Games (MCG) Studio is focused on delivering the best casual games for Windows, Web, and Mobile platforms. Dedicated to delivering quality game experiences to worldwide fans. In this role you will be accountable for driving project planning, coordinating cross-functional delivery, and ensuring that game features are completed on time and to high quality standards. You will interact with multidisciplinary teams to help shape project roadmaps, manage dependencies, and communicate status to leadership.

While this role is remote, candidates must be available to work standard hours from 09:00 to 18:00 in the Western European Time (WET) zone — (Portugal time zone), where most of the Engineering and Product teams are based.

Additionally, candidates must be open to occasionally working U.S. hours to accommodate key cross-timezone meetings.

For candidates not residing in Portugal, you will be onboarded as a contractor through our international payroll provider.

  • Proven track record of delivering features on time within constraints
  • Familiarity with production tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or others)
  • Experience in casual, mobile, or social game development preferred
