The Role
We are looking for a Game QA Tester to be part of the team that drives the implementation of robust and effective testing processes, testing interactive software applications and tools built using Unreal Engine.
As a Game QA Tester, your role will be core to improving our software's quality, stability, reliability and usability. This will be achieved via the execution of planned manual testing, automated testing, report generation and analysis of gathered telemetry. The ideal candidate will be able to manage their own time well, breaking down work and projects and conforming to strict release schedules to deliver a strong end product.
You’ll also be:
Executing test plans at the product, feature and code level
Employing test-driven best practices from the outset of the development cycle
Using testing tools and test frameworks
Working collaboratively in an Agile environment
Identifying risk(s) to improve the quality and/or stability of products and services
Clearly documenting, managing and prioritising defects
Producing and documenting clear repro steps
Monitoring, analysing, and presenting automated and manually gathered test results and metrics
Maintaining documentation of testing infrastructure and best practices
Core Experience
Experience in testing realtime applications in a professional environment such as videogames
Knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, mock data/services
Proficient with project management & reporting software like JIRA
Good communication skills and an eye for detail
Desirable Experience
BS/BA in STEM/Games field, or equivalent work experience
Experience testing VR/AR applications
Familiarity with Unreal Engine testing framework
Work Arrangements
At Framestore, we offer a flexible work arrangement where employees can split their work time between home and office. While working from home 1 day a week is possible, this role requires 4 days a week minimum in our London office so candidates should be able to commute easily. Unfortunately, VISA sponsorship is not available for this position at this time.
