Located in Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales' most important technological excellence centers, mobilizing expertise in over 80 professions across defense, high-tech security, and digital services. You will join the Engineering Directorate (25 people) of the 'Drone System' sector, responsible for developing military drone solutions. The engineering department handles delivery, engineering, and solution-level IVVQ activities. You will manage a multidisciplinary technical team of about fifteen employees.
Must have:
  • Analyze workloads, ensure staffing and recruitment
  • Be a coach for employees, supporting, challenging, and developing their skills
  • Contribute to meeting commitments on critical Project and Offer milestones by monitoring and challenging activities
  • Organize cooperation with interfacing departments/services
  • Lead the discipline and deploy best practices and tools
  • Contribute to the transformation of engineering methods in line with the entity's performance plan
  • Conduct employee reviews (objectives, performance, development)
  • Engineer/Master's degree
  • Confirmed experience in System Engineering and Delivery
  • Initial experience in hierarchical management in autonomous systems or drone environment
  • Leadership

By joining us, you will be integrated into the Engineering Directorate (25 people) of the "Drone System" sector, responsible for developing our military drone solutions.

The engineering department is responsible for activities related to delivery, engineering, and solution-level IVVQ. You will manage a multidisciplinary technical team of about fifteen employees.

As Head of this department, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing workloads and ensuring staffing and recruitment,
  • Being a coach for your employees, supporting, challenging, and accompanying them in their skill development,
  • Contributing to meeting commitments on critical Project and Offer milestones by monitoring and challenging activities,
  • Organizing cooperation with interfacing departments/services,
  • Leading the discipline and deploying best practices and tools,
  • Contributing to the transformation of engineering methods in line with the entity's performance plan,
  • Conducting employee reviews (objectives, performance, development).

Your profile

With an Engineer/Master's degree (Bac+5), you have confirmed experience in System Engineering and Delivery and you have initial experience in hierarchical management in an autonomous systems or drone environment.

You are recognized for your leadership and wish to inspire, guide, and mobilize your employees around stimulating and ambitious common objectives.
