Job Description

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions, enabling advanced displays and semiconductor chips. This role involves configuring and leading information security operations, reviewing issues, and remediating vulnerabilities. Responsibilities include updating security metrics, providing awareness training, implementing application security controls, analyzing threats, and supporting internal/external assessments. The position requires conceptual and practical expertise in information security, contributing to global technological advancement.
Must have:
  • Configure and lead operations of multiple information security technologies and appliances
  • Review information security issues and assign to relevant support group
  • Routinely review and plan for remediating application vulnerabilities, missing patches, and application configuration issues
  • Update, create and define security metrics & dashboards
  • Provide and drive information security awareness and training
  • Follow and maintain information security standards, procedures & guidelines and process exceptions
  • Review, monitor, refine, configure and implement appropriate application security controls and ensure appropriate configuration in SIEM for incident analysis
  • Conduct analysis of security issues and recommend solutions and review, analyze, and correlate event logs to identify threats
  • Implement and provide evaluation feedback for new or updates to security solutions
  • Work with internal customers to implement information security solutions
  • Conduct security review of on-premise & Cloud services and recommend solutions
  • Support internal and external assessments and audits
  • Report information security administration processes and practices violations
  • Monitors contingent workers work quality and provides guidelines in the delivery of project and support services
  • Adheres to compliance processes and procedures
  • Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines

  • Understands key business drivers and challenges and can translate these into understanding broader enterprise risks and threats
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus

Key Responsibilities
