Job Description

CCP Games seeks an Infrastructure Engineer for its new game, EVE Frontier. The role centers on automating maintenance and upgrades of EVE Frontier's infrastructure, including blockchain components. Responsibilities involve using industry-standard tools (like Terraform and Kubernetes), ensuring smooth game operation, and collaborating with engineers on multiple projects. The ideal candidate has a B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent, at least two years of experience in infrastructure engineering, familiarity with Windows and POSIX environments, and experience with IaC. Knowledge of blockchain/EVM and AWS is a plus. This is a greenfield project offering significant growth opportunities.

CCP is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to our trailblazing new game EVE Frontier.

You will focus on creating more automatic processes around the maintenance and upgrades of EVE Frontier and its related blockchain components. This position requires an individual who loves learning and is passionate about best practices of infrastructure as code.

The position is located in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Your tasks:

Join us in our mission to support EVE Frontier Development by exploring new technologies and making a meaningful impact
Keep working towards practical problem solving where we prefer using industry-standard tools instead of building out our own
Make sure EVE Frontier runs as smoothly as possible
You will be working with other engineers creating and maintaining infrastructure to service multiple projects
Working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform
Help us shape the infrastructure in a greenfield project

Your Profile:

B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering
Experience in working in both Windows and POSIX environments
Experience managing and using orchestration tools (Especially Kubernetes) is a plus
Knowledge about blockchain / the EVM ecosystem is a plus
Experience using AWS is a plus
