As part of Real Estate Operation’s Infrastructure Services team, you will have the opportunity to help sustain and enhance workplaces in the Los Angeles area. You'll develop skills through hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, painting, labor, and carpentry, with an emphasis on customer service, partnership, and communication. The team is responsible for building and asset performance, including utility and energy management for sustainment. Projects are designed for sustainable advantage through energy conservation. You will support Operations Managers and Facility Engineers in day-to-day operational tasks, problem-solving, high-level analysis, and project execution.
Must have:
  • Strong collaboration, leadership, technical and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Upbeat self-starter, able to take initiative and balance multiple tasks
  • Experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Able to read schematic and construction drawings
Good to have:
  • Strong project management skills
  • Previous experience in facility management
  • Experience with electrical/HVAC system design and/or construction

About the Role & Program:  
As part of Real Estate Operation’s Infrastructure Services team, you will have the opportunity to help sustain and enhance the workplaces that shape the Cast Member experience through the operation and maintenance of owned and leased properties in the Los Angeles area. You’ll develop your skills through hands-on experience as you help the team provide high-quality workmanship in crafts including HVAC, electrical, painting, labor, and carpentry with an emphasis on customer service, partnership, and communication. Additionally, the team is responsible for building and asset performance – as well as utility and energy management – to ensure sustainment. Projects are designed for sustainable advantage through energy conservation.

This internship is a full-time, four-month commitment in the Burbank, CA area from August 2025 – December 2025.


What You Will Do:
The Infrastructure Services Intern will support Operations Managers and Facility Engineers in day-to-day operational tasks, problem-solving, high-level analysis, and project execution.  You will gain knowledge and develop your skills through hands-on experience as you help the team provide high-quality workmanship in crafts including HVAC, electrical, painting, labor and carpentry.  Our team also has a high emphasis on customer services, partnerships and exception communication! 

Responsibilities could include:

  • Assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects

  • Field data collection and testing, evaluation and development of technical solutions for MEP systems

  • Collaboration with fellow engineers, technicians, managers, sub-contractors and crafts personnel

  • Condition assessment and preparation of single lines for electrical and HVAC

  • Supporting the making of databases for proper CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs


Required Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Possesses strong collaboration, leadership, technical and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Upbeat self-starter who is able to take initiative and -balance multiple tasks and priorities

  • Previous experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD - Able to read schematic and construction drawings


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong project management skills

  • Previous experience in facility management

  • Experience working with electrical/HVAC system design and/or construction


Education:

  • Junior or Senior preferred

  • Major or previous coursework in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related field

   

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information: 
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.  

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants:  You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization 

           

      

Additional Information:

  • Candidate must be fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.

  • This internship is an on-site position, but also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace for the days you may work from home.

  • Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program

The pay rate for this role in California is $30.00 per hour.
