Job Description

As an Intermediate SQA at UPS, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of software applications. You'll work in an Agile/Scrum environment, independently analyzing and identifying test cases. You'll be responsible for writing test plans and strategies, developing automation scripts using Selenium and Playwright, and executing tests across various browsers and platforms. You'll also be involved in performance testing, defect tracking, and reporting to stakeholders.

Job Description:

Qualification

Required

  • BE/B. Tech/MCA or equivalent degree with good academic record


Desired

  • Certification in Testing (one or more) will be a plus like ISTQB


Technical

Experience

  • 8+ years of total experience.
  • Must be able to work independently without hand holding in Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Work with functional teams to analyze and identify test cases, identify test data requirements.
  • Interact with application teams to discuss scope, framework tailoring and design
  • Write Test Plans and Test Strategies.
  • Hands on experience using tools such as Selenium web driver with C#, Soap UI for API testing.
  • Experience of development of Playwright framework from scratch.
  • Hands on in Azure Devops and Agile methodologies.
  • Execute scripts developed for applications in multiple browsers (CBT) and platforms.
  • Generate execution reports, customized reports, analyzes failures and implement fixes as needed
  • Support maintenance of the automation scripts as needed to comply with application changes
  • Should be able to understand the requirement and design test procedures and test cases for automated software testing.
  • Should be able Design automated test scripts that are reusable.
  • Ensure all automated testing related activities are carried out as per the standards defined by the company.
  • Coordinate with program and development management teams in product development lifecycle to conform end user product and quality requirements and shipment schedule.
  • Analyze performance test requirements and develop test plans and debug to understand test objective requirements.
  • Handle performance testing and present results for validating and analysis to Project Teams.
  • Answer technical issues to resolve and follow up.
  • Prepare software defect tracking and report entire project release status to stakeholders.


Technical Competencies

Required

  • Manual & Automation Testing
  • Web Service, restful service, Web API testing, Core C#, JSON, JavaScript, PL/SQL, SQL Server, Playwright
  • Database concepts and query writing.
  • JUnit, Playwright, Soap UI for API testing.
  • Test Plans and Test Strategies.
  • Hands on in JIRA/Azure DevOPS, Agile methodologies
