Product Validation Engineer II

Join the Test & Validation team to design and scale automated validation for WEB features across our product portfolio, supplemented with manual exploratory testing. You will work within Agile SDLC, test new functionality, and partner with developers to ensure intuitive, reliable interfaces and smooth release roll-outs. The role focuses on expanding regression coverage sprint by sprint, building automation for deployment and release, and collaborating with cross-functional QA and engineering teams to strengthen the end-to-end quality process.

Must Have

• Create and maintain Cypress Automation test suite
• Work with Front End and Back End development teams to identify test areas
• Identify and raise bugs into tracking system (JIRA)
• Support deploying and rolling out product to live download portal
• Create internal test documentation with clear repeatable steps
• Be involved in Sprint planning, estimation and feature design meetings
• Validate API calls and perform exploratory testing with Postman
• At least 2 years in a previous Automation WEB QA role
• Experience with Windows and Linux platform testing
• Experienced in following Agile development process
• Experienced in using Python or similar
• ISTQB Foundation certified
• Experienced in using NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB

Good to Have

• Database tools such as Studio3T
• Performance experience using JMeter
• Visual Studio
• Node JS
• Data centre IT experience

You’ll work within Agile SDLC, test new functionality as it lands, and partner with developers to ensure intuitive, reliable interfaces and smooth release roll-outs. Expand regression coverage sprint by sprint, with a focus on building automation for deployment and release. Collaborate closely with cross-functional QA and engineering teams to strengthen our end-to-end quality process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Creating and maintaining our Cypress Automation test suite and expanding our test coverage when new features are developed.
• Work with our Front End and Back End development teams to identify test areas and scenarios.
• Create and maintain a growing suite of automation tests.
• Identify and raise bugs into our tracking system (JIRA) and follow them until their release.
• Be a crucial part of deploying and rolling out our product to a live download portal for customers to upgrade
• Creation of internal test documentation with clear written repeatable steps
• To be involved in Sprint planning, estimation and feature design meetings
• Validating API calls and exploratory testing with Postman

Job Qualifications:

• Engineering degree or similar
• At least 2 years in a previous Automation WEB QA role
• Building Test Automation frameworks using Cypress
• Experience with both Windows and Linux platform testing
• Experienced in following Agile development process
• Experienced in creating Automation regression tests in Cypress
• Experienced in using python or similar
• ISTQB Foundation
• Experienced in using NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB
