Autodesk’s Digital Customer Experience - Horizontal Capabilities team is looking for a passionate Intern Software Development Engineer. You will work on products and services critical to executing Autodesk’s ecommerce strategy, designing, developing, and driving high-performance, mission-critical APIs. Your role involves software development projects, code-level troubleshooting, service maintenance, improving reliability and observability of APIs, and focusing on engineering and operational best practices. You will help design and develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software, write high-quality code and tests, participate in code and design reviews, and assist in improving service operations.
Must have:
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computing Engineering or related technical field, and graduating in 2026 or 2027
  • Experience working with data structures or algorithms during coursework/projects, research, internships or practical experience in school or work
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
  • Be someone who enjoys working collaboratively in a team with high trust
  • Internship period: January - June 2026, 6 months full time internship
  • Help design and develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software

  • Participate in code and design reviews to ensure new code conforms to highest standards
  • Work within an agile framework to continuously deliver quality software in a fast-paced environment

  • Have excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins or similar)
  • Experience with Git or an equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Position Overview

As a Software Engineering intern, you will work on products and services critical to executing Autodesk’s ecommerce strategy. We design, develop and drive high-performance, mission-critical APIs serving millions of requests per day using some of the latest technologies. You will work on software development projects to keep important business systems up and running, from code-level troubleshooting to maintenance of services; from improving the reliability and observability of our APIs to focusing on engineering and operational best practices and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Help design and develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software
  • Write high quality code and tests following test-driven design principles
  • Participate in code and design reviews to ensure new code conforms to highest standards
