The internship applications for our Oslo Studio are now open for students entering their final BA semester who want to step into the exciting world of game development in 2026. You will get the chance to work directly with seasoned experts and mentors, gaining hands-on experience while having a real impact on our massive multiplayer survival game, Dune: Awakening. Funcom is excited to open applications for our Production Internship Program, looking for two interns with a focus on Art Production and Narrative Production. As a Production Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with our teams, learning how game development workflows are structured, and contributing to live projects.

##### About the internship program

##### Time and place

Time: Early January – May 2026 (exact timing to be determined by your university)

Place: Oslo, Norway

##### Who is this internship for?

We are accepting applications from students currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s Degree program with an expected graduation in 2026. The internships are an unpaid opportunity to hone your skills and work with seasoned professionals during your final semester at school.

You would need to support your own travel and accommodation, and the internship would be onsite in our central Oslo Studio.

We are happy to offer mentorship, great colleagues, a free breakfast bar and lunch during your internship.

Our goal is to be part of setting you up for a strong career in game development, and you would be very welcome to apply for open positions in the company upon completion of the internship.

##### Your Mission in Funcom

Funcom is excited to open applications for our Production Internship Program. We are looking for two interns to join our Production team:

One with a focus on Art Production and another with a focus on Narrative Production.

As a Production Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with our teams, learning how game development workflows are structured, and contributing to live projects.

##### How you can have an impact in your position

  • Support our teams in coordinating day-to-day tasks and workflows across disciplines.
  • Learn to track progress and identify risks in development pipelines.
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and developers to facilitate communication and alignment.
  • Gain insight into production tools, processes, and cross-team problem-solving.
  • Contribute to reviews, playtests, and feedback sessions.
