Job Description

The LATAM HR Operations Analyst will be part of the HR Shared Services Team, responsible for operational and system support for employee lifecycle transactions and Payroll support within Brazil, Chile, and México. This role ensures smooth HR processes, manages employee data, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance, contributing to a global HR operations transformation. The analyst will provide strong customer service, drive efficiency, and collaborate with HR Business Partners and other Centers of Expertise.
Must have:
  • Execute employee lifecycle transactions in Workday (Onboarding, Offboarding, and Changes in General).
  • Support payroll processing as needed for Brazil, Chile and México.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR Ops & Payroll processes.
  • Build network within HR / HRSS organizations and act as a first point of contact for HR Managers.
  • Prepare and deliver on-boarding / off-boarding documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or relevant field.
  • Experience in Human Resources, preferably in a Shared Services, HR Operations and/or Payroll environment.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Experience working within HR systems, preferably Workday.
  • Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate/advanced Excel skills (pivot tables & charts, vlookups).
  • Advanced English level is strongly required.

We are team of curious, passionate, process efficient, customer centric HR professionals! We are driving a global HR operations transformation for Wabtec that will position the HR function to shift towards best in class for HR Service Delivery.

The responsibility of HR Operations LATAM is to oversee the administrative and transactional elements of human resources, ensuring that HR processes operate smoothly and align with organizational objectives. This encompasses the management of employee data, payroll, benefits administration (including Car Lease and Medical Insurance), compliance, and support of data quality, onboarding, offboarding, retirals and employee inquiries. In essence, it involves managing the daily operations that ensure the HR department functions effectively.

The team collaborates closely with HR Business Partners to foster positive employee relations by implementing effective, efficient, and reliable HR strategies and practices that align with the Global HR Operation model, ensuring adherence to processes and policies while maintaining compliance with employment laws.

Additionally, the team works in partnership with other Centers of Expertise (such as Talent Acquisition, HRIS, HRDP, Compensation & Benefits, and Legal) to design and implement HR business processes.

How will you make a difference?

The HR Operations Analyst is part of the HR Shared Services Team. The role is responsible for operational and system support for employee lifecycle transactions and Payroll support within Brazil, Chile and México. The individual will work closely with the other members of the HR Ops team to ensure strong customer service to the business and to drive efficiency by leveraging established processes and guides to transact and answers HR inquiries.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or relevant field.
  • Experience in Human Resources, preferably in a Shared Services, HR Operations and/or Payroll environment.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service through ability to leverage stablished processes to transact and answer inquires.
  • Experience working within HR systems, preferably Workday. Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate/advanced Excel skills (pivot tables & charts, vlookups).
  • Advanced English level is strongly required.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Execute employee lifecycle transactions in Workday; ensure timely processing of the transactions. (Onboarding, Offboarding and Changes in General).
  • Support payroll processing as needed: work with payroll vendor to deliver the payments for Brazil, Chile and México.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR Ops & Payroll processes and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Build network within HR / HRSS organizations and act as a first point of contact for HR Managers.
  • Prepare and deliver on-boarding / off-boarding documents.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
